CBB is proud to have been honored with two 2023 ARCHITECT Magazine Light & Architecture Merit Awards.

At 1155 Avenue of the Americas, CBB’s lighting energizes the building’s arrival experience with a design that blends a gracefully lit POPS plaza with a bright inviting lobby. A juror praised the project’s “…skillful and creative lighting…so integrated that it’s really part of the architecture.”

The Dairy at Central Park, a NYC landmark repurposed as an information center and gift shop, was commended for lighting that creates a fairytale-like magic at night. CBB’s design accentuates the intricate wood detailing of the historic structure, while moderating light spill into the nighttime sky. A juror commented that “The uniformity of the indirect light is so clean. It’s like a little lantern in the woods.”
