CBB is proud to have been a part of longtime associate Duda/Paine Architects’ team on the Duke Integrative Medicine project (Durham, NC), acclaimed as a paradigm for modern healthcare facility design. This new-age clinic, the winner of a 2009 Architectural Lighting Magazine Commendation, has received yet another award – the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2010 National Design Award for Health Care. The award was announced at the American Society of Hospital Engineering’s (ASHE) Health Facility Planning, Design and Construction Conference in San Diego, on 14-17 March 2010. The project is scheduled for exhibition at architectural conventions nation-wide, starting with the AIA National Convention and Design Expo in Miami in (June 10 – 12, 2010), and will be published in numerous industry journals, including the AIA Academy Journal and Healthcare Design Magazine.
