BAM Awarded White House Arts Medal

The team at CBB congratulates The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) on being the recipient of a 2013 National Medal of Arts.  The medal is the highest award given to artists and arts patrons by the US government, in recognition of “outstanding contributions to the excellence, growth, support and availability of the arts in the United States.”  The Medal was awarded by President Barack Obama, in a July 28, 2014 ceremony at the White House.

CBB is proud to have provided lighting design for projects at BAM through the years – from major renovations to public and performance spaces in the mid-1990’s, to a new and enlivened exterior facade and canopy re-design for the Peter Jay Sharp Building from 2000 through 2007, culminating in the 2013 completion of the BAM Richard B. Fisher Building in 2012. The Fisher Building has been honored with numerous lighting awards.
