A bright example for today’s healthcare

CBB was one of only a handful of firms selected for inclusion in the Lighting Journal (a quarterly publication of the UK’s Institution of Lighting Professionals) report on new trends in lighting for healthcare facilities. The article recognizes CBB’s design contribution to New York’s Central Harlem Health Center (a project in collaboration with Stephen Yablon Architecture) as a leading example of the latest approach to healthcare lighting. The project is profiled in a section of the report focusing on urban health centers whose lighting is warm, welcoming and appealing despite extremely tight construction budgets.

The report leaves readers with a clear message: inspired lighting design is fundamental to spaces that nurture the spirit as well as heal the body, characterizing the essence of truly modern healthcare. Read the Lighting Journal report on lighting for healthcare facilities.
