Jazz at Lincoln Center is the first theater in the world dedicated solely to the performance of Jazz. Lighting is a key design element in this one-of-a-kind entertainment venue. Simple, budget-conscious fixtures are enlivened with color to illuminate the various spaces in a way that captures the warmth and vitality of jazz, and provides a welcoming and compelling setting for patrons.

In Frederick P. Rose Hall, a 1,200-seat, flexible concert space, custom-designed diamond shaped LED ceiling panels can produce an infinite number of colors to create a variety of mood settings. The Allen Room is a more informal space with a dramatic, 50-foot high glass wall overlooking Central Park. The flexible lighting of Dizzy’s Club allows the space to transform from an education center during the day to an intimate club at night. The venue also houses the Nesuhi Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame—a multimedia exhibit with an 18-foot video wall, interactive kiosks, and touch-activated virtual plaques.
