EATON CENTER

Beachwood, OH

CBB designed the site and lobby lighting for Eaton’s new, LEED Gold certified corporate center – a 10-story office tower flanked by two wings of four stories each, an adjacent parking structure, and a landscaped site.

The lighting creates a cohesive building night imagery that accentuates the architecture and creates a visual identity for the site. Landscape lighting allows for pedestrian safety and security and highlights featured elements, while remaining respectful of potential night sky light pollution issues.

Interior lighting for the multi-height main lobby/atrium creates a visually exciting focal point for the complex. CBB’s extensive daylighting studies impacted the Architect’s choice of glazing materials in order to maximize the visibility of the exhibition piece in the atrium. For office spaces, CBB worked with the Interior Designer, advising on the specification of task-appropriate, energy-efficient luminaires. The lighting strategy ensures comfort for building occupants, cost-effectiveness for the Owner, and flexibility for users in enabling light level modification to suit the task and time of day
