The lighting for Twin Brook Capital Partners’ new Chicago office enhances a polished, modern workplace design.

Four large vaults are asymmetrically uplit to create a dominant ceiling plane. These illuminated elements draw the eye across the expanse of the reception area, to large picture windows that allow spectacular city views.

The same asymmetrically lit, vaulted ceiling elements are used throughout the project as a design motif. In addition, this indirect lighting scheme adds height to the office’s low ceilings, creating an impression of spaciousness. A variation of this cove solution is used in the largest conference rooms, providing continuity with the rest of the office.

Decorative pendants create focus and interest at selected gathering areas. These design accents punctuate and provide a contrast to the uniform ceiling lighting.

The lighting creates a visually cohesive composition that fosters a feeling of openness, while also creating areas of intimacy.
