CBB’s lighting design for the LEED Gold certified Stephen Sondheim Theater renovation protected and restored its historic façade, but virtually everything behind it is new. The lobby, with salvaged plasterwork and new lighting, mediates the transition from original to new.

The theater and associated public spaces are submerged below street level, so the lighting for these spaces is designed to be bright and cheerful to balance the day-lit ground floor areas.
