FROST BANK TOWER

Austin, TX

The architect desired “a building that comes to a singular statement at the top in a clear, memorable symbol, providing a missing piece in the Austin skyline.” The lighting solution carefully and dramatically reinforces the underlying logic of the building with its solid base rising to a light top and crown.

The lighting design highlights the layering of the glass crown at night, while minimizing the tower’s formidable structure. Essential factors were the connection of the base to the crown, while articulating the corners with light in an elegant transition to the crown.
