FLUSHING MEADOWS CORONA PARK POOL AND ICE RINK

Queens, NY

This 110,000 square foot community athletic center is the largest recreational complex ever built in a city park. The center, with its Olympic-sized pool and NHL-regulation ice rink, serves as a year round venue for competitive meets and general public use.

The recreation complex – and the pool in particular – provides an anchor for the community. The indirect lighting system is designed to provide glare-free illumination that is easily maintained and allows the building to glow from within.
