250 WEST 55TH STREET

New York, NY

The lighting for this skyscraper lobby creates a welcoming, luminous volume using minimal fixtures.

A specially designed, regressed LED cove provides most of the illumination in the space. These coves articulate the ceiling planes and their composition creates a forced perspective to draw visitors in. The visual interest is heightened by the careful detailing that makes these ceilings appear to float.

The lighting of the vertical fountain in the rear of the lobby adds sparkle and interest, visually extending the depth of this space. The strong yet simple lighting design elements serve to make the soaring lobby grand and elegant.
