LightYears_Panel_Discussion_image-6CBBLD Principal Francesca Bettridge participated in a panel discussion presented as part of Parsons School of Design’s symposium “Light Years: 1985-2015-2045.”  This public event took place on October 22, 2015, marking the 30th anniversary of the school’s Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design program, the world’s first of its type.

Three separate panels addressed the lighting profession at three points in time:  30 years ago (1985), today (2015), and 30 years in the future (2045).  Francesca, contributing to the 1985 panel, highlighted a range of her projects at that time, reviewed the influence of technological growth on the profession’s evolution, and identified socio-cultural conditions impacting the lighting consultant’s career in 1985 and today.
